The Founders Story

I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. I was raised around open land, horses, SEC football, and a family that was rooted in faith and freedom. I was taught to write thank you notes, show up on time, say yes ma’am, and work hard even when no one is watching.

Darling Grey came from that foundation.

As I got older, I realized I could not find clothing that reflected the life I knew. Everything felt either disposable or overly styled. I wanted pieces that felt steady. Classic. American. Not loud. Not chasing attention. Just well made and meant to last.

That is what I set out to build. From the beginning, I knew this brand had to stand for more than what we wear.

Trafficking is real, and it is happening in our own communities. That matters to me deeply. My hope is that Darling Grey can help create real opportunity for women who have experienced it through meaningful work and long-term support. Not something temporary. Something lasting.
